So please let us know your opinion if and how to integrate Moblin with openSUSE?
I don't know, if it is technically possible, but I would be happy, if at least the UI part could be integrated into 11.2.
I'm a new subscriber on this list and would like to add a question and a few suggestions to this previous thread - from my 'users point of view': As the 11.2 DVD space is mentioned constrained, will it instead be possible to make Goblin as an 'Add-on product' to openSUSE 11.2 ? For the installation I think of getting a software 'desktop pattern' already available for the intial 11.2 installation and/or when adding Goblin as new product with the YaST package manager afterwards. For practical use I think of getting Moblin as an option on the 'change session switch' on the gdm login panel, in addition to the current installed desktop options Gnome/KDE/XFCE. This to complement the already mentioned OBS '1-click installation'. And of course a dedicated Goblin Live/install-CD/USB will be of interest for all potential users ;) Rgds, Terje J. Oh - hmm; it is a shame if we can't get the packages on the DVD, but then - there has been little time to get them building under Factory and submitted; so ...

Sure - it should be an option like that already, if you install the Moblin:UI one-click under 11.1 - at least, that is the intention :-) Wrt. the live-CD we really need someone to be testing that - the first thing to do is to tweak the: boot="oemboot/suse-11.2" line in the kiwi file in Moblin:Images/Image-opensuse to use the live-CD image type (I forget the name), re-build, and give it a good testing; help much appreciated. I started doing this, but I ran into a bunch of dependancies that we do not have in the moblin image that the live-cd image wanted. I'll try to pick this back up later this week when I get a chance, after I get a working opensuse Moblin image created, that will provide an automated upgrade path for users so they do not have to keep installing new images. But that is currently being held up by some kiwi issues that others are working through as quickly as they can. thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+help@opensuse.org

Right :-) last I looked it was things like 'aufs' and similar awfulness.

Cool - hopefully we'll have something working for the openSUSE conference [ 16th ;-].

Sure, go Aaron ! Regards, Michael. -- michael.meeks@novell.com <><, Pseudo Engineer, itinerant idiot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-goblin+help@opensuse.org
