[opensuse-gnome] GNOME:Community package fix-list
Right, Christmas is over and so I've had time to turn my attention to GNOME:Community. Sorry this has still taken a while to appear but it's quite a laborious process checking each .spec file with all their particular vagaries and foibles - I hope I've not missed anything/produced false-positives as a result. Below is a list of packages[1] that need overhauling to match the packaging guidelines[2] along with the username of their (apparent) creator (some of them are mine, I know). This mail contains packages from A-M - another will follow with N-Z. Please post your progress, especially when the package is compliant, here. If you're unsure in what way your package doesn't comply, ask me either here, off-list or in #opensuse-gnome (if hell has frozen over and I'm actually there). Please note that I've not considered not using a .changes file reason enough for inclusion in this list - I'm just going to trust people to do that as they go. Obviously if people want to be pro-active and make that change now, I'll be a happy boy. I went through my packages and did some cleanup, added the use of lang and gconf. I think those should be compliant now: pidgin-guifications pidgin-otr pidgin-plugin-pack gnome-menu-file-browser-applet Some of those miss .changes, which I will add as soon as OBS let's me - currently it complains about a missing URL when I try to add a new file. The hi-color-icon-theme package is linked from Factory so shouldn't it be compliant already? Cheers, -- Ivan N. This is the problem with a couple of packages - the Factory package doesn't include support for older products... Thanks for fixing the other packages - I'll give them the once over and confirm their FIXED status. :) -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

I think we can probably drop bluez-gnome now right?
Or we can target it at targets (ahem) where it's appropriate - it's updated in G:S/G:U now, yes? So, we can leave it enabled for <= 10.3 vanilla. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
