[opensuse-gnome] 10.3 Update Testing
As mentioned in the last meeting, we'd like to release a set of
important (but not all critical) updates to 10.3. In order to get some
pre-testing, I've put all the updates in GNOME:test-updates:10.3. You
can grab them by doing the following:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/test-updates:/10.3/openSUSE... gnome-test-10.3
zypper ref
sudo zypper install -t package -r gnome-test-10.3 cups-autoconfig f-spot ggreeter gmime gmime-sharp gnome-cups-manager gnome-mount gnome-volume-manager libgmime-2_0-2
cups* and gnome-main-menu may unfortunately have to be installed by hand
atm, zypper wouldn't downgrade these properly for me (my rpm revision
numbers are all over the place so YMMV).
Check everything is good with 'zypper search -r gnome-test-10.3' and
make sure all the packages are 'i' in status not 'v'. Once this is done
a simple zypper update -r gnome-test-10.3 will suffice.
Please report any regressions or bugs that are not actually fixed.

The main-menu does not seem to have the patch i was expecting for
#334550. Scott, can you check this?

Worth noting that f-spot is also a downgrade from that in the actual distro. Not directly relevant but everything else (apart from ggreeter) is also a downgrade if one has GNOME:STABLE enabled so if you do, you'll to do the lot by hand possibly or, if you use Smart, you can force it to use these versions. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

The only one of those bugs I'd previously run into was the main-menu not opening on first click, this appears fixed now so +1 for that. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Only been running the test-updates since yesterday (after the gnome-meeting) but so far I give a thumbs up. Warm Regards, Claes Backstrom -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
