[opensuse-gnome] Ops, I did it again...
Hello. Ops, we did it again... My apologies that we're sometimes a bit concentrated on packages and package updated on this list. It'd be great to change that and get everyone involved... opensuse-gnome packages Transmission, so I'm just keeping myself available as an upstream Transmission contact.

I don't know. I'm pretty new to this list myself.

See 3. Sorry for the weasel answer, but it's the truth... :) cheers, Charles -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Sorry for the weasel answer, but it's the truth... :) Don't underestimate your role in this case. We're very happy to have upstream project authors close to us and to have a good relationship with them. We can help out each other the best way like this. I apologize for the partial answer earlier. My interest in joining the list was: Get to know others in the community. Stay up to date on activity in the community. Find a way to participate. So far I am not doing very well in reaching any of these goals. I am and End User. My day job I support SuSE and Rhel servers. I like just knowing what is going on in the community. One reason why I think I struggle to find a place to contribute is I like to run stable, currently on 2.26. I have done a small amount of scripting, no programming. Mostly just basic admin stuff. Never having participated in any Opensource community. I just don't know how to get started. If you read this, please let us know about...:
1. What's your primary interest for reading this mailing list
Reading this mailing list keeps me informed about changes happening to the gnome part of openSUSE. For example new defaults that are being agreed upon, or changes to the gnome-desktop happening in the next release, new features coming to gnome, etc.

3. What could / should we talk about more on this list
Once in while perhaps it would help to talk about what end-users without knowledge of programming, or packaging could contribute to the gnome desktop experience in openSUSE. For example writing tutorials, etc. for upcoming new features and so on.
4. Apart from 1, 2 and 3, what should / could we do to get YOU more involved?
Cheers, Magnus

1. Primary interest is to see what's going on with the GNOME desktop in openSUSE, and to help with decisions that have an effect on the end users. 2. End user, and marketing volunteer. 3. I'd like to see more discussions about the usability of the GNOME desktop. 4.
