I'd agree, if the alt-status-menu functionality was built in by default Having that extension as a default is exceptional to solve what I consider to be a very important usability issue and I'm all for solving the problem of an easy shutdown by other means so we can ship future versions extension free. I dont think that we should be adding other extensions by default, but I would like to see if there are ways we can encourage people towards extensions.gnome.org to install their own Regards Rich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

"some" work has happened on that front, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742166 => Basically, the request is/was to add ego (extensions.gnome.org :) ) to the favorites of our default browsers. Where this was no issue at all to decide on epiphany, the 'gnome browser', there is an understandable reluctance of doing so in Firefox (the defacto default browser).
