[opensuse-gnome] Managing CA Certificates for GNOME/Evolution
Evolution 3.12.3 I am attempting to import a CA into Evolution can I get "Enter the password for 'NSS User Private Key and Certificate Services", token "NSS Certificate DB". If I have ever entered that password before i do not recall it [or when]. Is there a way to find this an delete/reset it? I also cannot delete a certificate in that dialog. I was surprised that I cannot seem to manage certificates, at least CAs, within Seahorse. -- Adam Tauno Williams <mailto:awilliam@whitemice.org> GPG D95ED383 Systems Administrator, Python Developer, LPI / NCLA -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

I think you will need to request a new certificate from your provider, and this time remember the password ;-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

(a) the password is on the certificate store, not the certificate. (b) there is never a password for an Authorities *public* certificate. The CA certificate enables the applications to recognize certificates signed by the authority as trusted. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

I just tried importing a CA (not a real CA, just a random cert I had lying about), and Evo prompted me for a password for the default place where it stores certs. This is not visible from Seahorse. I had no idea that Evo has its own cert storage. You may want to mail the developers.
