I've seen it a couple of times, will try to replicate it and file a bug next time.
It's okay, I've figured out how to replicate it - it seems to have something to do with the window list being updated after adding/removing the workspace switcher - loading up on debug packages to get a trace.
James failed to mention the bug he opened: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=374775 Fixed upstream since last week. I'd wait for the 2.22.1 release, but if people think it's important enough (do people really remove the workspace switcher that often? :-)), I can submit a package with the patch. Was going to reply to my mail once it was done - had forgotten that with GMail, I don't get copies of mails I send to lists...

I vote for waiting for exactly that reason although I'd be interested to know how this was first noticed - presumably by someone doing just that (not an obvious thing to be deliberately testing). -- James Ogley, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team and Planet SUSE. riggwelter@opensuse.org http://opensuse.org/GNOME http://planetsuse.org openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

The crash also happens on logout, but only for a few people. And it's been there for years, I believe. It was just not trivial to understand why it happened ;-) Some change in the code probably made it easier to trigger and it crashes more often now. I'd say that it depends when 2.22.1 is going to be released? I vote for having this fixed for Beta1 at the latest.

Tarball will be released on April 7th. I don't know when the freeze is for Beta1 submission, though. Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

April 11th. GNOME also matches the openSUSE feature freezes so generally we can get version bumps closer to RC1 for point releases like this. -JP -- JP Rosevear <jpr@novell.com> Novell, Inc. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
