[opensuse-gnome] Testers needed: gdm and gnome-packagekit
Hi, We'd need a few testers to make sure that two changes are working fine before we push it to 11.3: update applet does not see available updates https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=609409 => Scott has packages in http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/sreeves1:/branches:/GNOME:/F... We need people who installed RC1 to install the libpackagekit-glib2 package from there, and then see if they can install the updates. gdm greeter doesn't work without local users (e.g. NIS) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615044 => I added a patch for gdm, and the built package is available at https://build.opensuse.org/package/binaries?package=gdm&project=home%3Avuntz%3Abranches%3AGNOME%3AFactory&repository=openSUSE_Factory I'd appreciate if people could test it -- even if you're not affected by the bug because you have local users :-) It should be safe, but since it's a really visible part of openSUSE, I want to double-check it's all good. Thanks, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

This URL doesn't seem to work for me. I get a 404 when I try to goto the download repository location http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/vuntz:/branches:/GNOME:/Fact... All build targets seem to be in "disabled" state in your project. Probably I should wait for some rebuilds ? -- Sankar P http://psankar.blogspot.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

I don't publish the rpms. But you can directly download them from the build service. Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Tested now. Works perfect. Thanks. Do you think, autofilling "root" may be a good idea, incase there are no users ? Right now, it just provides a nice textbox. -- Sankar P http://psankar.blogspot.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

That'd be wrong for people who use NIS or LDAP. Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
