[opensuse-gnome] GNOME:Factory warning: wait a bit :-)
Hey there, I'd advise people using GNOME:Factory to wait a bit before upgrading. There's some fun because of various libs needing to be rebuilt first in Factory (at least icu and tracker). It should all go fine in the next few days, after more things get rebuilt. Cheers, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

Just in case it's too late for some people: if gnome-shell starts crashing or being extremely slow, just reinstall those packages from Factory instead of GNOME:Factory: gnome-shell libclutter-1_0-0 libcogl-pango0 mutter typelib-1_0-Clutter-1_0 typelib-1_0-Cogl-1_0 Cheers, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

Is G:F safe yet? A Clutter update fixed the problem on Mageia yesterday. Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

I pushed the new clutter last night, but G:F is rebuilding right now. So not safe yet :/ Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

Vincent
It would be cool to have a safe/not safe flag/button/icon/etc to indicate when G:F is safe to use. Maybe vuntz's face with a thumbs up or down ;) Cheers, Stephen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

G:F is now fine on i586. For x86_64: check that libclutter-1_0-0 is at version 1.9.8 before updating (clutter didn't build on x86_64 last night, but it built fine a few minutes ago -- just need the new rpm to be published).
