[opensuse-gnome] translation-update-upstream breaks gnumeric, gnomeicu, gtk2
Stanislav, after your update to translation-update-upstream, the following packages do not build anymore: gnumber, gnomeicu, gtk2. Build failures are gtk2: ==== Making all in po make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/packages/BUILD/gtk+-2.20.1/po' make[2]: *** No rule to make target `uz@Latn.gmo', needed by `all-yes'. The quick fix to get these building might be to disable translation-update-upstream (tested with gnomeicu). We have RC1 this week, could we get this fixed asap, please? I'll look at these failures today. It never happened before and I just ported SLED version. As translation-update-upstream triggers ~100 packages, it is hard to test it in advance.

It's trivial to test with the openSUSE Build Service! Just create a project with all needed packages. I blogged some time about this: http://lizards.opensuse.org/2009/07/30/testing-packages-and-their- dependencies/ If you need help, please tell me, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Yes, I know that, but as it was only a backport from SLED11 plus new data files, I did not expect any problems. I already identified problems and going to fix, test and submit. - translation-update-upstream did not understand ALL_LINGUAS="`cat "$srcdir/po/LINGUAS" | grep -v '^#'`" and incorrectly added translation language strings. It never happened before because this deprecated code is used only in few packages that never added translation before. - gtk2 uses old style PO_LINGUAS, which does not allow different translations in different translation sub-domains. But incomplete and obsolete old uz@Latn appeared in the upstream git. It confused the script. gnumeric is probably the same problem. If it was not fixed in upstream, I'll remove these files from translation-update-upstream package. -- Best Regards / S pozdravem, Stanislav Brabec software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: sbrabec@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 966 190 00 Praha 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
