[opensuse-gnome] 3.6 shell hangs on shutdown
After enabling the GNOME 3.6 repository (thanks for that!), the shell hangs for about a minute after pressing shutdown/restart before my computer actually begins to shutdown. This also occurs on a fresh install of 12.2 after enabling the 3.6 repository. In contrast, with GNOME 3.4 the computer begins to shut down almost immediately after pressing shutdown/restart. This delay also occurs when logging out. I use an HP Envy 14. I've also noticed that the shell also takes much longer to load when booting, not sure if that could be related. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any ideas what might be up? Michael Catanzaro

Check if you have any *-kmp-desktop/default installed that you don't need. I had ndiswrapper-kmp-desktop and virtuabox-kmp-guest installed, and removing those fixed the same symptoms you are describing. //Bjørn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

When I removed ndiswrapper-kmp-desktop and virtualbox-guest-kmp-desktop, YaST and zypper insisted on installing ndiswrapper-kmp-default, virtualbox-guest-kmp-default, and a new kernal. This freaked me out a bit, but it fixed the issue. Thanks! Michael
