[opensuse-gnome] Making the gnome-maintainers group maintainer of our packages
Hi, We have a few packages here and there in OBS, not just in GNOME:Factory/GNOME:Apps. Until now, I've usually been marked as the maintainer for those in OBS metadata, but I think it's better if we move this to the gnome-maintainers group -- it's probably a much better approach for the long term. Dominique was okay with the idea, and I guess there's no real downside to this. So unless somebody shouts, I'll do the change this Friday. (I'll also do this for at least GNOME:Apps and GNOME:Factory, since that obviously makes sense there) The involved projects are: GNOME:Apps GNOME:Factory GNOME:Medias GNOME:Next The involved packages are: Base:System/polkit Base:System/udisks Base:System/udisks2 Base:System/upower M17N:fonts/cantarell-fonts X11:common:Factory/libspectre X11:common:Factory/poppler X11:common:Factory/poppler-data YaST:Head/yast2-control-center-gnome devel:languages:python/python-cairo devel:languages:python/python-gnome devel:languages:python/python-gnome-extras devel:languages:python/python-gobject devel:languages:python/python-gobject2 devel:languages:python/python-goocanvas devel:languages:python/python-gstreamer-0_10 devel:languages:python/python-gtk devel:languages:python/python-gtkglext devel:languages:python/python-gtksourceview devel:languages:python/python-notify devel:languages:python/python-orbit devel:languages:python/python-webkitgtk devel:languages:python/python3-cairo hardware/libgusb The following packages are also candidates because they are dependencies we use: Application:Geo/geoclue (empathy) Application:Geo/gypsy (geoclue, iirc) Base:System/libatasmart (udisks) devel:languages:python/python-cups (system-config-printer) devel:languages:python/python-smb (system-config-printer) devel:languages:python/python-xdg (several packages) devel:libraries:c_c++/libdatrie (libthai, which is used by pango) devel:libraries:c_c++/miniupnpc (banshee or rhythmbox) graphics/libraw (f-spot) hardware/festival (accessibility) Opinions on those? Hi

devel:languages:python/python-espeak (espeak-gui) devel:languages:python/python-pymetar (weather-wallpaper)
I can't do the changes for those, since I'm not maintainer for them. One thing to consider is whether they are "usual" python modules which can be maintained by more or less anyone, or if they have specific knowledge for which the GNOME team would be useful. Since I've never really looked at the packages, I can't answer :-) Cheers, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org

[...] I've done the changes now (including for the multimedia:libs packages I mentioned in another mail), except for the following packages, since I'm not 100% sure that it'd be a right move.
The following packages are also candidates because they are dependencies we use:
Application:Geo/geoclue (empathy) Application:Geo/gypsy (geoclue, iirc) Base:System/libatasmart (udisks) devel:languages:python/python-cups (system-config-printer) devel:languages:python/python-smb (system-config-printer) devel:languages:python/python-xdg (several packages) devel:libraries:c_c++/libdatrie (libthai, which is used by pango) devel:libraries:c_c++/miniupnpc (banshee or rhythmbox) graphics/libraw (f-spot) hardware/festival (accessibility)
