then there is even a repository for 12.2 published (actually, it is GNOME:STABLE:3.6 published in a different namespace). So if you feel adventerous and comply to at least 2 of the 3 points above (:)), then you are allowed to use the repository home:dimstar:broken on your machine and get up to GNOME 3.6 (don't do this just now: the repository is in a full rebuild due to the checkins!) I went ahead and installed the GNOME36 report from your private repository on my openSUSE 12.2 laptop [I was brave and did this on my work-a-day laptop - I really want the improved notification scheme]. It works! But the downside is that once I start Firefox it is immediately unresponsive; all I can do is a forced-quit. That is pretty painful.
I did a subsequent "zypper up" that updated Firefox. Firefox now starts and remains responsive [it works].
Adam, Thanks, that's great news! There are shortly some more 'fixes' being published in the repo, which addresses some odd crashes here and there (pango was updated to 1.32.1 for this reason). Once this is complete, I'll do some more quick tests this evening and will likely open the gates of G:S:3.6... so we can all have fun on the weekend!
