Dear All, I would like to have on OpenSUSE 11.3 the latest stable version of Gnome. By this I don't mean the version that came with the distro, I mean the lastest stable. It is not clear to me, however, which repos I should enable. Looking at this page: http://en.opensuse.org/GNOME_repositories I guess that I should enable: GNOME:STABLE:x.yy / G:S:x.yy (where x.yy = GNOME version) and GNOME:Backports:x.yy / G:B:x.yy (where x.yy = GNOME version, or Factory) Maybe also: GNOME:Contrib / G:C and some of the Application directories at: GNOME:Apps However, I am curious about two more repos. The first is: GNOME:Community I understand that this is deprecated in favor of Contrib, but should I add it as of now? I notice that some applications are only in this repo. For example gtk2-engine-equinox. Finally, I found this: GNOME:/Apps/GNOME_STABLE_2.30_openSUSE_11.3 and: GNOME:/Apps/openSUSE_11.3 Should I add them, and in case I should, which one? I notice again that for example, the latest version of Liferea is only here. I have to say that comapred to KDE, where the repos to add are very clear, the Gnome situation seems a bit of a mess. Can someone help me. please? Valerio -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
