I have one openSUSE 11.4 workstation [desktop] that is having problems after upgrading to GNOME 3.
Evolution and Empathy start but never seem to connect. Evolution is just checking-folders and empathy is "Connecting...". Eventually Evolution fails with a cannot-connect-to.... message. But other IMAP clients on the host work fine.
Potentially related - Going into system settings / network results in the warning "The system network services are not compatible with this version." And there is no network manager in the top-bar.
Any suggestions?
I'm pretty sure he didn't follow the upgrade path described on http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GNOME_3.0 : he didn't upgrade NetworkManager to the version from GNOME:STABLE:3.0 -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
