[opensuse-gnome] Toggling external screens with Fn-F7 etc

There's a wiki page http://en.opensuse.org/Laptop_hotkeys_for_RANDR IIRC this was meant to be fixed for 11.1. Does anyone know if there has in fact been some work in this area or was this delayed to 11.2? At least on my notebook and 11.1rc1-GNOME it still doesn't work.
