Not long after our meeting yesterday, Coolo posted to opensuse-announcement that Alpha version of 11.0 was available in iso's. Not sure if you saw this one.
I had trouble getting the bittorrent to work on Alpha, but I did manage to download the 10.3-11.0 Alpha iso. So which is the better one to work with? The iso's Coolo mentioned, or the factory install instructions you mention?
To get started, you'd probably be better of using the Alpha0 iso. Hopefully, you can then upgrade from the internet repo as we move along.
I'm hoping to start this project this weekend on a clean machine that I just finished hardware-upgrading.
