Welcome :-)
1. How do I disable Automatic Login? It seems obvious, pulling up User Accounts with My Account in the myname pull-down, but the switch has no effect. The GDM login seems to be accessible only if I power on and then log out.
YaST -> User and Group Management -> Expert Options -> Login Settings -> Auto Login In openSUSE, YaST is the place where you tinker all system specific settings.
2. The Flash plug-in works in Firefox, but is simply missing in Epiphany. Is there a way to implicitly specify its use in Epiphany? Is swfdec-mozilla a reliable alternative?
I have never used epiphany. But IIRC last time when I tried, I needed to install gnash for playing youtube in epiphany.
3. Not a big deal, but my cheap and badly-supported (by HP) LaserJet 1020 is recognized but is not receiving print jobs. I followed the 11.3 howto for installing the proprietary driver, but no success. I recently upgraded the printer's firmware to work with my wife's iMac, but it isn't working there, either. When I plugged it into Ubuntu the first time, I was told a driver needed to be downloaded and everything happened automatically.
This may be a better question to opensuse-kernel list or may be reporting in bugzilla/forums. Can't help much here. Sorry. Sankar http://psankar.blogspot.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
