Thanks for the feedback on the Sonar metatheme. There's a number of issues I will try to address: * Focused window indication. While the focused windows are shaded and unfocused are flat and low contrast, there seems to be a concern the 'spotlight' effect isn't strong enough. While it will lose a bit of the appeal, usability is more important, so I'll tweak it to have the highlight be more prominent with the default selection color. * Dark menu problematic. This issue is actually much more difficult to address. The main problem here is Firefox and its awesomebar, but there may be applications that will also have issues with it, see bug #503351. Some applications like FFox hardcode certain colors while taking others from the system theme. This is sadly even more visible in the FF3 builds, although there seems to be work done to address this [1][2]. Through numerous experiments I wasn't able to address this with the gtkrc itself and it seems like the only solution would be a custom/user chrome. But that really breaks things when switching themes so it would need to have some logic to only apply for Sonar :/. A workaround using stylish extension is another option[3]. In the light of this perhaps it would be better to drop the dark inverted menus and go for a slightly darker gray with black text that would work in apps that don't work with dark themes yet. Discuss. I'm also working towards a release of Fifth Leg, the openSUSE headline font. It would be quite a boost for the openSUSE brand if used as a default WM font. Feel free to try it out [4] and report any problems you may encounter.
