I must admit that I am not a big fan of dark color themes. For one thing, it makes things like the Firefox address bar drop-down look not so elegant (other drop-down menus are affected as well). Would it be possible to have a light colored artwork as well?
I noticed the firefox issue here. But that would really just be a bug in the theme. It's to catch those things that we'd need to switch early on.
And fwiw, we definitely won't ship just one theme. So there will most probably be lighter themes ;-) (maybe not looking like sonar, though -- but that's up to the artwork team)

I'm actually liking the dark menus effect. It's a nice contrast for visually-impaired people and well.. older people too. Takes away the "spotlight" effect that so many people seem to think is cool these days. My biggest problem currently with the sonar theme is with the dark bars/panel. It would be nice if the active window were easily a different shade from the other windows. And the dark bars blend in too easily with the panel (I have my panel on top) so it makes it harder to see the difference between active window and panel just above the window. There are some issues with the icons both in panel and elsewhere. But that can be resolved as well I'm sure. -- Bryen Yunashko openSUSE Board Member openSUSE-GNOME Team Member GNOME-A11y Team Member www.bryen.com (Personal Blog) www.planet-a11y.net (Feed aggregator of the Accessibility Community) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
