[New: openFATE 321765] Secure UEFI network boot
Feature added by: Michal Suchanek (michals) Feature #321765, revision 1 Title: Secure UEFI network boot openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Michal Suchanek (michals) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Recent devices tend to come preconfigured for secure boot. Since secure boot works for storage media it would be nice to extend this to networking. needed 1) sign syslinux EFI binaries if not done 2) update https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:PXE_boot_installation to explain how to netboot with EFI and shim 3) deploy on labs network ;-) The obvious workaround is to turn off secure boot. However, different devices have the settings buried in different places. Setting up the boot service properly is one time effort. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/321765
