Feature added by: Alexander Fragotsis (gallaki) Feature #315012, revision 1 Title: OpenSUSE News Android Application openSUSE.org: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Alexander Fragotsis (gallaki) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: OpenSUSE news app When the application starts for the first time the user passes a small startup setup where he can modify the several aspects of the app (Fonts, Font Size, Notifications intervals, Page Transitions, Reading theme, Page Layout etc) this settings will be available also at the settings section of the app. There will be 4 sections -News -Planet -Social -Settings The whole app will have the action bar of Android ice cream sandwich with the colors, logo of openSUSE and an info/about button. Then in the list there will be: -The news section will have the news from the openSUSE news. -The Plane section will have the news form the openSUSE planet. -The Social will have the latest updates from twitter / facebook /google+ etc.. the Settings section will contain all the settings for downloading and displaying the news and all about the notifications, intervals, sounds , logging in with facebook , log in with the openSUSE api etc. The news and the planet will have the same layout, every post would be an item in a list with an icon and the preview from the text, when you click it you can see the whole article and have buttons like âfacebook likeâ, âshareâ , âcommentâ , âgoogle +1â, âemail to a friendâ etc... Also we can add a special button to bookmark the favorite articles and a button âread later offlineâ which will download the article and give the ability to read it offline when you don't have access to the internet. Also there can be a reply button where it can leave a comment below the article just as the news website. There would be a refresh button on every section which would download the latest news manually and maybe later we can eliminate the button and implement a way of refreshing like facebook when you can drag the list down and if you are on the top it will update. In the info section you can find out more about the app and the openSUSE community , communicate, support, local community etc.. Also there can be locale translation for each button / text in the app which will be shown to the users depending from where they are. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/315012
