[New: openFATE 319416] Merge kernel-desktop back into kernel-default / kernel-pae
Feature added by: Michal Marek (michal-m) Feature #319416, revision 1 Title: Merge kernel-desktop back into kernel-default / kernel-pae openSUSE Distribution: New Priority Requester: Mandatory Requested by: Michal Marek (michal-m) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: To allow for easier maintenance of the Leap and SLE kernels, it makes sense to unify the set of flavors where applicable. The SLE kernel has no -desktop flavor and the difference between -default and -desktop in openSUSE is minimal. The proposal is to copy these three settings to -default: * CONFIG_PREEMPT=y * CONFIG_HZ=1000 * vm.dirty_ratio=20 nd drop the -desktop flavor. The rationaly is that openSUSE is more often used on desktops than servers, although the effects of these settings are often overrated. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/319416
