Feature changed by: Tomáš Chvátal (scarabeus_iv) Feature #308390, revision 6 Title: Keyboard and Wireless configuration in LiveCDs openSUSE-11.3: Rejected by Karl Cheng (qantas94heavy) reject reason: Not done in time for openSUSE 11.3. Priority Requester: Desirable openSUSE-11.4: Rejected by Karl Cheng (qantas94heavy) reject reason: Not done in time for openSUSE 11.4. Priority Requester: Important - openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed + openSUSE Distribution: Rejected by Tomáš Chvátal (scarabeus_iv) + reject reason: Livecds/dvds were removed as a feature. Thus feel free + to help with the livecd ressurection and implement this feature in + them. + Also before we shut them down there was networkmanager for the wireless + and both gnome and kde allowed keyboard switching. Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Alvise C (alvise_cav) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: LiveCDs (and LiveUSBs) are extremely nice features for showing and promoting openSuse. Everything is configured automatically in order for the user to have a usable desktop as quickly as possible. However, keyboard and (to a lesser extent) wireless are mandatory devices that need manual configuration. During the boot process of those Live installs there should be a window for configuring those devices. Or at least on the desktop there should be easily recognisable icons for this configuration. Discussion: #1: Isaak Malik (earthmind) (2010-07-16 14:17:12) I completely agree. There should at least be a Keyboard layout configuration option in the DOS start screen, just like Ubuntu has. Please, this is a matter of life and death! -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308390
