[New: openFATE 314196] Keep track of an appliance clones and siblings
Feature added by: Leonel Rivas (leorivas) Feature #314196, revision 1 Title: Keep track of an appliance clones and siblings SUSE Studio: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Leonel Rivas (leorivas) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Hi This is a SuseStudio request: It would be nice to keep track of cloned versions of someone's project, maybe track it down to its original appliance, or browse its siblings. It could be a good way to keep the credit of the original creator, and browse its clones to compare differences and advantages. Thanks Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: I have seen my own appliances cloned several times, but never seen any comment back from those users, so I don't know if was it useful or not, or if did they create a new appliance from it. On the other hand, I have found myself cloning someone else's appliance only to improve it or make my own, based on other's work, but I feel like I am being unfair to those who created it on the first place so never published anything from cloned appliances, and kept it for myself. So keeping track of clones would be a nice way to credit everyone who participated on it. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/314196
