[New: openFATE 311276] Remove or prevent error messages when mounting a removable
Feature added by: Hans de Raad (hcderaad) Feature #311276, revision 1 Title: Remove or prevent error messages when mounting a removable openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Hans de Raad (hcderaad) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Currently when mounting a removable (usbstick, dvd, etc) often an error from "org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-removable" or a "DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending" occurs. These errors occur mostly when using media with multiple partitions. This request is to surpress these errors and only start one filemanagerinstance for the specific medium. These errors appear to be DE-agnostic, until now they show up in GNOME, KDE and Xfce on openSUSE 11.3. Use Case: Insert an usbstick (preferably with multiple partitions) and wait for the "automatic actions". Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: These errors are very confusing, especially to new users, since the device itself seems perfectly alright and usable (not to mention being opened in multiple filemanagerinstances). -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/311276
