[New: openFATE 320348] improve reporting of package dependency problems in online update
Feature added by: Joachim Wagner (jowagner) Feature #320348, revision 1 Title: improve reporting of package dependency problems in online update openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Joachim Wagner (jowagner) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Currently, the problem and solution dialogue for package dependency seems to be the same for software management and online updates. However, to the user, it is confusing to read about that a package cannot be installed because of a missing dependency during an online update and the offered solutions are not useful: clearly, the user doesn't want to uninstall packages or break dependencies at this stage and the solution "do not install patch:openSUSE-[<some number>]" is not conclusive whether this is only about a single package or all updates in this run. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/320348
