Acoustic signal is valuable for visually impaired people, while it may be disturbing e.g. in libraries. The beep now defaults to off int the installed system. If somebody wants to enable it, he can do so with gfxboot --change-config "boot::beep=1" Marco only needs to document that for his customers and everything is fine.
