Every user who recognizes that the system is not unmuted by pressing the mute button will surely press volume up. Once done, everything is fine again: system is being unmuted in hardware and the GUI is in sync again. it was like this before for ages. bugzilla#389178 was closed as wontfix, as this is not a regression.
