Feature added by: Romolo Manfredini (romoloman) Feature #306717, revision 1 Title: Channel scan utility for DVBT Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Romolo Manfredini (romoloman) Description: The scan utility or dvbscan utility are useful for DVB-S channels but limited for DVB-T Digital terrestrial TV in europe is evolving fast with MUX appearing day after day, the scan utility provided suppose that you already know DVB-T frequencies of your city and relays on files in /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/ for frequency scanning. There is a nice utility called w_scan: http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/index2.html which performs a raw scan of all frequencies supported by the DVB adapter looking for valid digital mux. This utility generates as output various formats that can be used directly by DVB programs or as initial tuning data for (dvb)scan utility.
