[New: openFATE 323691] Improve performance with Intel CPUs and intel_pstate driver
Feature added by: Martin Herkt (lachs0r) Feature #323691, revision 1 Title: Improve performance with Intel CPUs and intel_pstate driver openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Martin Herkt (lachs0r) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Currently, openSUSE defaults to the âpowersaveâ cpufreq governor on modern Intel CPUs. This however effectively disables Turbo frequencies completely, leading to drastically reduced performance and, in fact, worse battery runtimes on mobile devices (at least with Haswell and newer, as far as I can tell). This should be fixed by defaulting to âperformance,â the only other available frequency governor. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/323691
