[New: openFATE 312777] Provide a working pandoc in OSS
Feature added by: Martin Schröder (oneiros) Feature #312777, revision 1 Title: Provide a working pandoc in OSS Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Martin Schröder (oneiros) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: pandoc (http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/) is a Haskell (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Haskell_%28programming_langua...) implementation of Markdown (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Markdown) with numerous extensions and additional output formats. There is a package in devel:languages:haskell/openSUSE_Factory (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/languages:/haskell/openSUSE...) , but that needs much more love (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=713301) pandoc seems important enough to fix it and get it out of its Haskgell ghetto into OSS. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: pandoc is probably the most advanced implementation of Markdown which makes the creation of advanced documents very easy. It would provide us with a simple way to create good documents in a multitude of formats. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/312777
