[New: openFATE 309258] YaST RPM Package Installer should give some feedback about success or failure
Feature added by: Jakub Rusinek (liviopl) Feature #309258, revision 1 Title: YaST RPM Package Installer should give some feedback about success or failure openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Jakub Rusinek (liviopl) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: YaST doesn't notify about progress, dependencies and finish of installation. Use Case: When you decide to open your downloaded RPM within YaST, you need to know, that you won't get informed, whether installation is successful or has failed. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: (K)PackageKit surely notifies somehow, why should YaST stay behind? I didn't see any info about PackageKit getting included in SUSE as default packaging suite, so YaST needs to make progress. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/309258

It is too confusing and the only part that I understand "YaST + does not inform whether an installation was successful or not" looks + like invalid (it works here). + In any case, it would be a bug report. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/309258
