[New: openFATE 313343] Gnome as Default Desktop - openSUSE 12.2
Feature added by: Simone Dedo (Templare) Feature #313343, revision 1 Title: Gnome as Default Desktop - openSUSE 12.2 openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Simone Dedo (templare) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Guys, Be honest with yourself, KDE can't be at this moment the default DE of openSUSE, its incomplete, and doesn't work well at all (there is still some crashes on KDE 4.8.1). KDE on Samba cant save documents. Do not remember password if u check the option "Remember password". Kmail is not good as Evolution. Not all is integrated. Firefox isnt well integrated with KDE, Thunderbird too and so on. If Novell choosen some years ago to go with GNOME as default there is a reason for that (and they had right). If we wanna play with an OS, KDE is a good choise, but if we wanna work with an OS, GNOME is the best choise. Please again, fallback to GNOME for openSUSE 12.2, is the right choise for have a stable openSUSE. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/313343
