[New: openFATE 321638] manual control over md assembly and data import in installer
Feature added by: Michal Suchanek (michals) Feature #321638, revision 1 Title: manual control over md assembly and data import in installer Requested by: Michal Suchanek (michals) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: The installer automagically tries to assemble and activate raid and lvm volumes and import data from previous installation. When there is an encrypted volume it asks for password to decrypt it. This can cause multiple problems. Activating broken volumes can put the kernel subsystem handling the module into not well-defined state which is hard to work with and may cause error during the partitioning step of the installation. Importing data from previous installation may not be always desirable. The solution is to ask before activating volumes and/or importing data every time. Not just in the case there is an encrypted volume. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/321638
