Cleaning out my featurelist... Priority Requester: Desirable Projectmanager: Desirable Requested by: Hendrik Vogelsang (hennevogel) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: The YaST2 TV module needs to be adapted to work with DVB cards as analogue terrestrial TV is on the verge of inexistence. The TV setup part should be pretty straight forward as DVB cards "only" need a driver and dvbscan to be run, no need to fiddle with the soundcard for instance. Also the LIRC part could be improved as well to detect recivers and remotes. Both steps otherwise require manual setup because the automatic detection with udev/hal is not setup at all for TV cards. Discussion: #1: Stephan Kulow (coolo) (2007-11-26 09:43:38) I never needed yast to watch TV with my DVD-T USB stick, but perhaps I was just lucky :) #2: Jiri Srain (jsrain) (2008-03-19 14:23:50) Please, postpone to 11.1, we will need more time to enhance the TV card module. As coolo wrote, there are cases when no configuration is needed at all (however I don't know how common they are). #3: Stanislav Visnovsky (visnov) (2008-03-26 16:05:48) AFAIK DVB-T support exists in the YaST TV module since 9.x. What is missing there? #4: Hendrik Vogelsang (hennevogel) (2008-04-07 15:21:26) (reply to #3) system wide channel configuration. better lirc integration (read autodetection) #5: Christoph Thiel (cthiel1) (2009-04-21 15:29:02) How about a community project? #6: Stephan Kulow (coolo) (2009-08-12 10:45:16) (reply to #5) good idea for 11.3, for 11.2 the feature should have opened to make that work :) -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/302905
