Feature added by: Vei Song (veisong) Feature #311188, revision 1 Title: Capacitive touch screen Buildservice: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Education Li-f-e: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important openFATE: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important openSUSE.org: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important openSUSE Medical: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Vei Song (veisong) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Nowadays more and more devices (x86) comes with capacitive touch screen (like on iPad). I think that they won't be main "work force" in the field but it is really great to have OpenSuse tablet with you wherever you go. It is just convenient for a lot of tasks. Please, read the topic of forum. I will update it with all necessary information to help community to make such capacitive screens work correctly. Test Case: I have bought a device with 10.1" capacitive touch screen. I have tried OpenSuse Milestone 5 (future release). It works great, but... My capacitive touch screen positioning cursor correctly but when I touch screen, it is like I clicking mouse for 9 times. One touch of icon of a program... and it opens it 9 times. I looked in hardware information in yast and the name of my touch panel in the following: UNITEC Touch Panel (Win7) Vendor number: 205437 It works good, but not useful, because I cannot really touch any icon with my finger, it will open it 9 times... Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: More and more computers will have capacitive touch screens and we (I hope I can say like that) want OpenSuse to be up-to-date OS. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/311188
