Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important
Requested by: Tristan Miller (psych0naut)
Description:
Kuickshow is a popular image viewer for KDE. Versions are available for both KDE 3 and KDE 4. Previous versions of openSUSE included it among KDE 3 applications. However, openSUSE 11.1 and openSUSE 11.2 do not include the KDE 4 version.
Please add a kuickshow package for KDE 4.
The KDE 4 version of Kuickshow can be downloaded from its official KDE home page at http://userbase.kde.org/KuickShow (http://userbase.kde.org/KuickShow) See also KDE bug 188539: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188539 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188539)

+ #3: Tristan Miller (psych0naut) (2010-02-16 13:30:58) + Gwenview is slow to start (several seconds on my machine) and takes up + a lot of screen real estate with toolbars, menus, tabs, info panes, + status bars, etc. Kuickshow is a lean image viewer which starts + immediately and displays nothing except the image.

+ #5: Tristan Miller (psych0naut) (2017-08-16 10:33:46) + There is a relatively new package, showimage, which serves as a KDE 4- + and 5-compatible replacement for kuickshow. It would be great if it + were available in the official repositories. Until now, it seems to be + available via various personal OBS repositories: + https://software.opensuse.org/package/showimage?search_term=showimage
