The tools in the kstart package allow users to start long running jobs and be sure that the jobs will always have access to the filesystem. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: We do not want to extend the normal kerberos ticket lifetime for security reasons. However we have some jobs that run for weeks and that need access to the AFS filesystem.
