Feature changed by: nick skeen (ns89) Feature #310464, revision 3 Title: Changer text console color openSUSE-11.4: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Максим Муруев (slimy) Description: Feature for yast change console color. And green color for console by default. I think green is opensuse color. For first console stay white, for best look boot log. Discussion: #1: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2010-09-02 19:01:10) It's a psychological thing. A color's brightness × area covered by said color = desired to be minimal for the background color. And that happens to be black or blue in most cases; for graphical feebles white seems to be also acceptable, but staring at a brightcolored background.. I'm just waiting for everybody to get nuts. Try it yourself... xterm -bg "#FF00FF". Everybody knows that. You will find many console applications - especially from the DOS area - that used blue as a background (in case they did not use black). + #2: nick skeen (ns89) (2010-09-05 18:57:10) + Green can be a hard color for some people to see. It's one of the most + common colors affected by colorblindness. So I'm not sure this would be + a good idea. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/310464
