Feature changed by: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) Feature #312880, revision 15 Title: change QCAD to LibreCAD openSUSE 12.1: New Priority Requester: Desirable - openSUSE Distribution: New + openSUSE Distribution: Implementation Priority Requester: Desirable - Package Wishlist: New + Package Wishlist: Done Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Jose Soriano (rallaz) Developer: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Remove the very old unmantained QCAD (it requires QT3!!!) and add LibreCAD a mantained port to QT4 http://librecad.org Discussion: #1: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2011-10-19 23:35:11) Now in /graphics. #2: Jedi Beeftrix (jedibeeftrix) (2011-10-20 10:46:46) haha, i love how quickly can move on this stuff. :) #3: Kirill Kirillov (kkirill) (2011-10-20 18:37:49) IMHO, Education repository is a better place, because it already has such CAD programs as QCad, CADEMIA, HeeksCAD... #4: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2011-10-20 19:27:35) (reply to #3) Education is about the worst place to put it, because there is so much software that, in one way or another, can be useful in and for one's education. In other words, "Education" is too coarse a label. And there is far too much software that clearly /is not/ education-related in the Education project. #5: Jose Soriano (rallaz) (2011-10-21 21:16:31) I installed the package from graphics and is packaged only the binary but the font and pattern files are needed and not present. One desktop file would be nice. From: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=LibreCAD&project=home:Rallaz you can get a librecad.desktop (and more info about fonts & patterns) #6: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2011-10-21 21:45:52) (reply to #5) Part of the problem is also that there is no `make install` provided in librecad. gnaaaa... #7: Jose Soriano (rallaz) (2011-10-23 10:16:15) (reply to #6) At the end of make process is executed "scripts/postprocess-unix.sh", this shell script is responsible to realize the installation but in the build tree. patching the line 4 RESOURCEDIR="`pwd`/unix/resources" the install is realized in the build process #8: Jared Meidal (kahu) (2012-01-10 19:03:36) LibreCAD 1.0 is now released. http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/LibreCAD-1-0-released-1404215.html and the rpm packages on the website seem to work great! http://librecad.org/cms/home/installation/rpm-packages.html -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/312880
