Feature added by: fn ln (gwdg37) Feature #314364, revision 1 Title: Grub menu titles openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: fn ln (gwdg37) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: I noticed that detected windows installations show the partition #, this and partition size should apply globally AND the list should be in numerical order. Every line would include. Disk Part # size filesystem OS (Version etc) Also the default timeout should be 60" with no limit on what can be set. On boot killing the timeout should be an unmistakable option! Current practices of throwing a potentially confusing list to a linux newbie and then leaving 8 seconds to figure it all out looks poor to me. I just installed 12.2 RC1 and had grub2 code put to disk root only to have an examinable /boot folder but then I wanted to replace that code with grub-1 friom 12.1 and for this I wanted to boot 12.1 but couldn't figure it out from the menu list (had about three 12.1 installations on the disk in various stages of readiness). -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/314364
