Feature added by: Sławomir Lach (Lachu) Feature #320251, revision 1 Title: Create ramdisk for rescue openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Sławomir Lach (lachu) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Create ramdisk for rescue filesystems. This ramdisk could been placed in /boot, other separate partition or root filesystem. There also should exist option for run system from this ramdisk. This could been integrated with systemd in future. When systemd fail load system, it should create ramdisk, copy rescue tools onto it, chroot and unmount old root filesystem(if possible, I'm not kernel developer). Use Case: On laptops without CDrom, there's should exist way to rescue system. Sometimes filesystem must be repaired, because badblocks were created. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/320251
