Its functionality is similar to jabref, but the main advantage is that it allows to share and simultaneously access the bibliography database (which is managed with MySQL). The programming language is PHP. I found this system highly desirable to be included at least in openSUSE Life if not in openSUSE distribution. The main target for aigaion is the research community.
