Feature changed by: Ludwig Nussel (lnussel) Feature #324964, revision 3 Title: visualize development process Buildservice: New Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Ludwig Nussel (lnussel) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: - following up on https://github.com/openSUSE/obs_factory/issues/101 + following up on https://github.com/openSUSE/obs_factory/issues/101 resp + https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/issues/6716 It is fairly common to see contributors confused about the state of their submit request to Factory and it is understandable given the lack of communication about the process present through the interface (or elsewhere for that matter). As an attempt to address that shortcoming and potentially gain contributions to the release tooling I propose a staging workflow plugin to be displayed on requests. The plugin should react to the various states in the process to highlight what has been done and what remains to be done. Additionally, links should be provided to the tools responsible for each stage and any relevant documentation. Discussion: #1: Adrian Schröter (adriansuse) (2018-06-07 07:24:55Z) There is no workflow atm in OBS itself, just independend reviewer roles. So we don't have any data in this regard to viszualize atm. Some parts might be regarding the staging projects might be possible, but that would mean that we would need to make OBS understand what the staging projects are. Currently they are just a project like any other. I'd like to postpone this request therefore a bit after the dashboard got integrated. A different thing might be the request to integrate the repo checker. We can then stage human reviews after the bots and that is something what can be displayed. But OBS would need to know that these are bots (easy when they are integrated bots) -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/324964
