Feature changed by: Markus K (KAMiKAZOW) Feature #305683, revision 24 Title: Add web browser for SUSE Installation openSUSE-11.2: New Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Vincent Steenhoute (civ75) Description: While installing SUSE with the classic installation CD/DVD, add a web browser. Somes peoples don't use LiveCD and prefer Install DVD, giving them possibility to browse internet while all the package are installed would be a must. I guess Webkit will fit nicely with the QT UI of our installation. Discussion: #1: kojot 350 (kojot350) (2009-02-04 12:24:49) Just use Live CD/DVD. #2: Piotrek Juzwiak (benderbendingrodriguez) (2009-02-05 18:02:39) kojot, did You read the comment at all?? Some prefer the DVD as it is more flexible but leaves them standing before the desktop like a plant doing nothing until install finishes (you can always read a book but hey it's my opinion). #3: kojot 350 (kojot350) (2009-02-08 23:06:51) Piotrek, of course read the feature description and I think it's overrated. I just wanted to point out the purpose of Live CD/DVD - to have ability to use programs (E.g. web browser) during installation. What do you assume that if someone does not agree with you, he didn't read the description. It's just my opinion, get over it. #4: Dmitry Mittov (michael_knight) (2009-02-23 11:08:37) Why web browser is more important then konquest? Konquest match is more fun then reading news. I think the next step will be adding IM client, e-mail client, music player to SUSE Installation. And after some time we'll get live DVD. + #5: Markus K (kamikazow) (2009-04-25 13:00:49) + Some old Caldera Linux version had Tetris embedded into the installer. + That rocked way more than a stupid web browser :-p -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/305683
