Feature added by: H. Hansen (cyberbeat) Feature #310697, revision 1 Title: Deliver kde with pulseaudio openSUSE-11.4: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: H. Hansen (cyberbeat) Description: I use kde4 with pulseaudio since opensuse-11.2 and once setup, it really works much nicer than the suse-default alsa-setup. There is already support in kmix for volume and moving streams (still missing some functionality from pavu-control, someone should continue the work on kmix..). Also phonon systemsettings supports pulse audio, and soundcard priorities can be defined there for different application categories (for the few applications using phonon..) It is nice - to move streams from any(!) application (using alsa-pulse-plugin) to the soundcard you want, these settings are remembered - to fallback to onboard device, when usb-"default"-device is disconnected - to be able to easily define the "main"-output of any soundcard as input-stream for any application, for example recording something you are playing digitally into audacity - easy to setup system-wide audio-plugins such as pulseaudio-ladspa, for example to cut off bass-frequencies for all applications I really have no serious problems with pulseaudio, it is really matured now. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/310697
