Feature changed by: Joe Harmon (jaharmon) Feature #306366, revision 9 Title: Need ability to add business case during fate creation over web. openFATE: Done Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Joe Harmon (jaharmon) Description: When creating a new feature using fate.novell.com you have the ability to create a use case, test case, but not the ability to add a business case. Can we get that option added as well? Discussion: #1: Gerald Pfeifer (geraldpfeifer) (2009-05-17 13:57:28) Oh, this is pretty important indeed, for the internal interface but especially for partnerFATE. Don't we have this there? Klaas? #2: Klaas Freitag (kfreitag) (2009-05-18 10:24:24) No, it is not there indeed. I agree we should have it there. However, for openFATE I would love to display a different label than "Businesscase" because that is not really an open source term ;-) Any suggestions? #3: Gerald Pfeifer (geraldpfeifer) (2009-05-19 01:14:56) (reply to #2) How about "Why do we want this?". Seriously, I thought about it a bit, and this (or something similar) might describe it best. #4: Joe Harmon (jaharmon) (2009-05-19 05:43:03) (reply to #2) Another possible option is something like "Impact Analysis" but I could also see that one being interpreted incoreectly. #5: Joe Harmon (jaharmon) (2009-08-10 23:26:20) Where are we at on this? #6: Thomas Schmidt (digitaltomm) (2009-08-11 13:56:35) This was alerady in partnerfate, called "partner benefit". I added a business case field to webfate, called "Why do we want this" in openfate. + #7: Joe Harmon (jaharmon) (2009-08-11 15:27:04) (reply to #6) + The reason we want this is that the OES team is using mainly webfate to + modify their fate requests and there are often times where the SLES + team won't even look at a requirement from us unless we have a Business + case. Anyway, looking at webfate I now see that we have a use case, + test case, and business case option. Thank you to whoever put those in. + This can be closed now -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306366
