Feature changed by: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) Feature #311416, revision 7 Title: Urban Terror in repos Package Wishlist: Rejected by Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) reject reason: Not open source. Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Michal Hartlinski (majki-fajki) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Urban Terror is probably most well-known free FPS game. Unfortunatly it's not in official repos. I propose including it, along with modified linux binary. (http:/www.www0.org/w/Optimized_executable;_builds_of_ioq3_engine_for_urt) Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Becouse we dont't only work, we need fun too! Discussion: #1: Roman Bysh (romanator) (2011-03-07 20:16:28) The link is broken. #2: Rafe Magnuson (rmagnuson) (2011-05-04 00:08:45) Agreed. After a fresh install of any flavor of Linux one of the first things I do is grab a copy of Urban Terror. Would be nice to include it in the official repos just to make it easier for newcomers who might otherwise be dissuaded by the command line installation method. #3: Dmitri Naumov (dnaumov) (2012-06-01 12:36:41) It's available in Packman: http://packman.links2linux.org/package/urbanterror/302804 But, quoting rpm output: "This RPM Package contains only the binaries compiled for your architecture. But you need the q3ut4 files/directory. Please download the zip file at http://urbanterror.info/downloads/ and copy the q3ut4 directory from the unzipped folder into /usr/lib[64] /urbanterror as root". Given that most users (probably) install software from YaST and thus won't see this message, the package could be considered "broken". Fully working deb package can be found here: http://www.playdeb.net/software/Urban%20Terror Is it possible to convert it to rpm, adapt to openSUSE and include in the next release? + #4: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2012-06-01 15:22:20) (reply to #3) + http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:How_to_contribute_to_Factory ? -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/311416
