Feature changed by: Christian Boltz (cboltz) Feature #317073, revision 4 Title: Take off the repos "fresh memory" as the software went commerical and is now on payment. - openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed + openSUSE Distribution: Rejected by Christian Boltz (cboltz) + reject reason: Packages only available in the "Education" repo don't + fit under "openSUSE distribution", and as you probably noticed, the + package maintainer never noticed this feature request. + Please contact the package maintainer directly to get this sorted out. Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Stakanov Schufter (stakanov) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Please update freshmemory to the latest version available with new features. Current version 1.1.1 from 20 october. Allows to edit words within the cards during the repetition. Fresh memory package is part of the "education" repository. Current version is 1.0+hg Discussion: #1: Stakanov Schufter (stakanov) (2014-11-21 10:42:46) From version 1.2 onward this software is on payment. 1.1.1 could still be provided but is a bit of "hidden commercial promo" because then people would find a software that is not going to be updated any more. So, probably the software should be taken off the repo "education". Pauker is a close substitute (although unfortunately not actively developed any more AFAIK. To avoid misunderstanding: I am not against free software vs free beer. But in free repos, software that requires a 10 dollar activation should not be promoted for free (as long as the author does not pay for it, as a commercial act). Who wishes to buy it can find it by herself and go to the website for installation. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/317073
